Grow or Die

Something that I have been thinking of recently is a phrase my friend Aidan told me:

Grow or Die.

It’s morbid. It hits deep. It fires me up.

Why does this resonate with me right now?

• I am taking ownership of some things that if I don’t personally drive the growth and success of. They simply wont happen. It’s scary. It’s exhilarating.

• I reminds me that if I want to grow I need to take action on my own. No one else is going to drag me forward because they are just being nice.

• Not everything is life or death. But when you focus in on building something you’re extremely passionate about. You get deep enough into it that you learn what specific levers propel you forward. It reminds me to find that lever, pull and hold that shit down as long as you can. Or else the ship stops

• There’s levels of intensity to doing something. You don’t really understand it until you’re there. When you’re there you know. It’s fun. You’re in flow.

• It’s rewarding to put yourself in challenging situations and surprise yourself with how resourceful you are, and how much you can actually achieve. I just put myself in a new one.

Time to impress myself.

• A database of health and wellness clubs

• A private group sharing daily live music sets.

Doing this is fun. That’s all that matters.
